The only thing I can't figure out is how do you determine what size hooks are best suited for which fish. (because I love a bit of a challenge instead of catching a 2 Pound fish with a 15pound rated setup.) I watched a couple tutorials which helped me out a ton learning how to setup your rods and reels for max drag etc. I've been playing fishing planet for a bit now and been loving it. I get the same amount of bites using a carp rod + groundbait + peas/corn, as I do with a bottom rod + sinker + peas/corn. Yeah, I recently started using a carp rod + groundbait for the first time & so far I can't tell if it makes much difference. You can believe the stories if you wish but its just fantasy :) You can only attract what spawns if you land on its head and will despawn exactly the same time weather you use groundbait or not. same as groundbaits not much use holding fish when they are on spawn timers. I believe there is absolutely no effect on your bite rates If you can put bloodworm which IRL is less than 1/2 inch in length and 2mm diameter on a size 6/0 hook (you couldn't get bloodworm on a #16 without bursting it) which is 5x thicker than your line and still get fish that tells you all you need to know. I'm guessing I can use Braid to Bottom fish also, coz I use a leader that the fish wont see?Īnother part of the game mechanics that I am sure the devs would say makes a difference.
